Hello Johanna! Could you describe yourself to our readers that don’t know you yet?
Hi there! To you who haven’t heard about me before, I grew up on the westcoast of Sweden, have been living the dream on the road since a while back, I’m an online student, a blogger and of course, a big fan of chocolate.
How did you start kiteboarding?
It seems like you are mostly into wave riding. How did you end up choosing that discipline over another?
I started very early with waveriding, just after a few weeks on a twintip and I tried a waveboard and it felt right already from day one. But I also had two injuries in my knees that kind of stopped me a litle from doing freestyle, but since my knees are good now I’m really happy to be back on a twintip as well.
What advice(s) can you give to someone who want to start wave riding?
What are your favorite conditions?
Strong wind and big lefthand waves.
What is your favorite kite spot, why and where do you dream to go?
Got to say Cape Town, they got many good wave spots around the coast. I am looking foward to go to Maritius, hopefully this year and also the beautiful
Who is your biggest inspiration within the kiteboarding industry?
Hannah Whiteley, she not only kick ass on the water she is also really kind, has a great personality and is always motivated! And Stefan Spiessberger, who always makes me feel happy and motivated even on and off the water! Thanks to these two 😉
What do you like to do besides kiteboarding?
What are your plans for the upcoming months?
I just spent one month in Spain and right now I’m in Austria for one week and then back to Spain for one more month and then Morocco in June.
Who among your kite girl friends should be our next Miss Stance?
Danni Durrant, super friendly and cool girl from the UK, doing her own thing, I met her in Cape Town last year.
